  	For demonstrating wave motion. Helical coil of fiat section tempered steel wire. Coil diameter 75mm, closed length 110mm, fully extended 5m.

  	For experiments in wave motion, pulses, reflection and interferences. Steel wire close-wound helix, 19mm diameter, closed longth 3 m extending to approx. 9 m.

• 	WAVE MOTION APPARATUS

  	For demonstrating longitudinal and transverse motion, consisting of 18 acentric Aluminium disc supporting a series of metal rods. On revolving the handle, transverse waves are obtained with bent, straight rods. Complete on wooden box.

• 	DUAL PURPOSE RIPPLE TANK
  	Code: GP - 566.2
  	It is used as a demonstration model with an overhead projector. Comprises a steel frame with an acrylic window. The frame is shared to form beaches on all sides to minimise unwanted reflections and fits neatly onto an overhead projector. The underside of the frame has threaded metal inserts to take the four legs provided enabling the required. Facilities are provided for mounting the ripple tank illuminant for this purpose. A gantry is supplied for supporting a motor beam, the height of which is easily adjustable allowing it to be positioned for maximum effect. Ripples are produced by a small 1.5V to 4.5V D.C. motor mounted on the plastic beam of 240mm length. A standard cam is fitted to the motor spindle to give an oscillatory motion and row of nine holes in the beam are for mounting the spherical dippers for production of circular ripples. The full set of apparatus comprises: 1 Ripple tank 330x330x35mm deep, 1 Gantry complete with beam, 4.5V D.C. motor and fittings, 4 screw in legs for bench mounting, 1 illuminant support rod, 2 spherical dippers, 1 Glass plate and spacers for refraction. 1 Dropper, 10 Suspension bands, 2 Leveling wedges.
